I have played traditional music for over 24 years and taught music for nearly 15 years. I learned how to play music at St Rochs under Frank McArdle and played in many bands and grupi cheoils. I helped to start and went on to lead the St Patrick CCE branch to great success for 8 years before going travelling. I had many pupils from both St Rochs and St Pats with one individual getting through to the all-Ireland finals (World championship). I primarily play Irish music and a little scottish music but if you have a tune you want to play then i can figure out the fingering, ornamentation and bass work.

Respected Sir,
I DEEPAK MEHTA (28.05.1982) a born artiste blessed by the GOD in the discipline of music as my talent was spotted at the age of six (now 28) through the percussion instruments 'Bongo', followed by 'Kongo' and finally I shifted to Tabla on the land mark advice of Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, Sarod Legend in 1992. Due to this blessing and my own sincere dedication, determination, perseverance and hard riyas since childhood God has blessed me amazing achievements including Honoured by Ex President of India by National Bal Shree Award, 1996 followed by many distinguished awards, citations, appreciations presented by the top organizations and personalities.
Having performed around the globe (IN USA, CANADA, SOUTH AFRICA, MOSCOW AND KIRGISTAN) I have experienced that in the busy and tension able life, the time has come for Yoga and meditation to keep sound health starting from the student level. So, Music is one of the best source of imparting meditation. I myself has improvised the technique of RHYTHMIC MEDITATION in which through the rhythms of Kongo and Tabla I give meditation to children. Such meditation give mental peace spiritual harmony thereby keeps good health and also improve the grasping power of students which help them in their academic studies. Students / youths from abroad are also coming India to learn Tabla from me and also enjoy meditation through tabla and Kongo
At Present I am working as Music Teacher (Instrument) in one of the top International School in Delhi, INDIA and imparting my musical skill among the children of this school from the level 2nd standard onwards. Even the week and naughty students are taking keen interest and they are improving day by day in their study circle and maintaining discipline, good health and getting name in the school. I have seen that girls are also taking more interest. I have organized the Orkestsra of students. Students are also giving solo performances. Now most of the parents are coming to me as they have seen drastic changes in their children. Day by day a wave of music is creating in the school.
The following are my contributions -
1. Take regular Theory and Practical Classes in English Medium;
2. Take Meditation Classes;
3. Prepare the Orchestra of boys on single instrument;
4. Prepare the Orchestra of boys on multiple instruments;
5. Prepare the Orchestra of girls on single instrument;(This is a unique and rare item ). This is also my own improvisation;
6. I also perform SOLO TABLA RECITAL in the prestigious functions of School to create the interest of the students to enthuse their morale
7. My services also help the Vocal Music Teacher in school programmes while accompany on instruments;
8. School also considered me as judge in their inter-school music competitions ; and
9. Teaching through Edju com;
10. Above that I give my own concerts of solo tabla recitals, accompany veterans of Hindustani classical instrumentalists and vocal music. Further I have ability to accompany any type/level of Western instrumental and vocal music.

description : We'll play a bit of your music & if it's suitable (which is usually), you'll be told the chords of your song, how to play them & how to simplify them with a cappo if necessary. Before the end of you're first lesson we'll you should be able to play a snatch of the song.
It may only be 2 chords of the 6 or so likely to be there but it's a start. Sometimes a wee rif stands out & we'll learn that. Here you're just playing one string at a time & it's just as easy to learn. We'll explore guitar 'tab' & how to read it. Later, you'll be making some rhythm with the chords you've learned.
The guitar is an excellent instrument to faff around on. You'll be encouraged to make up your own chord patterns, alter the chords, make up rifs - if that's your bent - but you're in charge, lessons will be lead from what you want to learn.
You'll be encouraged to play along with your favourite music. The ultimate pleasurable way to practice your instrument. Eventually you'll be encouraged to pick out rifs from your trax yourself.
Later still you'll be taught how to recognise chords that are played in real time & replicate the chord patterns. This is perhaps the ultimate goal.
All lessons are held in our full-time location in (The Audio Lounge Studio, in the west of Glasgow where you will find a warm, welcoming, safe environment for you and your children.
Lessons start at £10 and we are running an xmas promotion where you recieve a 25% discount.
Please, check our web-site or give us a phone on 0141 946 7656 (studio) or 07590 214 542 (mobile) asking for George.
Thanks!

I teach beginners classical and flamenco styles on classical. In lessons we will cover important aspects of guitar playing such as correct posture and breathing which are often overlooked.
Lessons are tailored to your needs, and as my lessons are aimed at beginners we will work from the basics up; developing technical ability, improvisation skills, an understanding of musical notation, a sense of rhythm/timing, playing by ear, and playing with feeling.
It doesn't matter how old or young you are, everyone has the potential to play an instrument and gain enjoyment from it!

description : So, why lessons? Lessons provide you with a structured learning system - they help you
avoid picking up bad playing habits that could slow your progress and they give you
someone to mentor you.
If you are an absolute beginner then you will have to go through a period when you first
start whereby your finger tips and the household's ears ache. Anyone who plays guitar will tell that we have all been there. Your finger tips will harden and the ear-ache will disappear! With my help you will be astonished how quickly this will happen.
I try to maintain a balance between theory and fun. Learning should be fun but knowing
why you are doing something, opens up a world of opportunities that learning to strum a
few chords from a book could never offer.
Maybe you've been playing for a while and want to learn new styles or techniques to
give that extra 'zing' to your performance.
Whatever your requirements I am sure that I can help.
I teach from home in Motherwell, or from a Lanarkshire location of your choice (increased charges may apply).

Are you serious about learning guitar? If so take a minute to consider studying with me. Whilst a high number of guitar teachers take shortcuts yet still demand you pay them full, I pride myself on a value for money approach. I understand the rewards gained from consistent focused practicing and want this same sense of self satisfaction for my students. I don't take the ' go home and play this until our next lesson' approach that others take. I understand the difference between playing and practicing, and herein lies the key to your progression as a player. So if studying with a teacher who pushes you to practice and grow as a musician is for you contact me. I charge £13 per hour or £110 for a booking of 10. I can teach in your home for £15 per hour. location Wishaw andrew_mclaughlan@hotmail.com 07903 743 617

We'll generally concentrate on a single verse or chorus. Or perhaps even the introduction to a piece, which as this is generally an instrumental, lends itself particularly to the piano.
You'll be playing along to your tunes for while. As your confidence builds you'll be playing more & listening less, until the player is turned off altogether. If you sing.that's a great advantage for many pieces & will free you from playing the melody so you can concentrate on all the rest.
Exercises will be introduced but only when their uses becomes obvious.

description : These lessons are paperless & our focus & inspiration for your goals will come directly from the music you bring with you. As a saxophonist in particular, you will benefit greatly by being able to play what you hear. Being stuck to the dots of sheet music will keep you from listening properly & freeing yourself mentally. Your goal should be to play a tune instinctively as if you were singing it.
If you're completely new to the sax, please do have a blow before you come - however dreadful it may sound!! Getting used to having a vibrating reed in your mouth is half the battle & you will progress much faster if you have some experience, however small.

description : The trumpet is just such a cool instrument. It's loud & naughty but can also be smooth & soulful, especially when played with a mute. We'll be learning predominantly by ear.
There are just 8 combinations of valve positions on a Trumpet, the other aspect of hitting notes being in tightening or loosening the embouchure. All brass instruments are the same - (except the trombone), so if you can play one, with some adjustment for embouchure & holding technique, you can play the lot.
Bring along your MP3 player so we can hear the music your listening to right now. The lesson will be driven by what you want to learn & we'll be using your tracks as something to analyse, play along with & reproduce. As soon as we can, we'll have you playing lines to your sounds.

My name is Stephanie Rose McClain and I am providing vocal and ukulele tuition in the city centre of Glasgow. I am a recent graduate of B.A Honours Degree in Music and perform in two of my own professional bands.
Throughout lessons I base them on what the individual wants to learn as well as providing guidance on what techniques will work best when singing or playing ukulele.
As a first study vocalist for 15 years I have the ability to give tuition on breathing techniques, vocal warm up exercises, diction, projection and go through songs each week that will teach you about using your voice in a healthy style.
Ukulele lessons involve going through chords, scales and songs that will improve your finger-picking technique allowing you to become an expert at this beautiful instrument.
If you are interested in booking a lesson with me, just give me a call or an email and I will save you a slot.
Kind regards,

Want to learn to sing and understand music better? Unlike some teachers, I will never ask you to do anything that I can't do, and as everyone is an individual, I will cater to your specific wants and needs.
Qualifications: BA (Honours) Popular Music degree at Napier University, Edinburgh, where I obtained a first class degree (2007), as well as acquiring level 1 Estill Vocal Training certification. I then undertook the Master Performance course at Vocaltech @ Tech Music School, West London (2009). Last year, I graduated from Middlesex University with a 'good to outstanding' grading for my PGCE in Secondary Education Music (2013).
I teach and/or coach students Contemporary Singing, including Pop, Soul, Jazz, RnB, Funk, Rock and Gospel, from beginners to advanced level professionals. I teach privately, and I'm also the Vocal Tutor at the Academy of Music and Sound, Edinburgh.
My lessons also include stage performance techniques, vocal physiology and confidence building skills. I am also a highly experienced songwriter, and frequently tutor and/or assist pupils in developing their songwriting skills.
Having been through the Scottish education system from primary through to university level, I also offer tuition for Practical Assessments for Standard Grade and Higher/Advanced Higher Music, as well as GCSE and BTEC Music, which I experience during my PGCE Music course at Middlesex University last year.
I also give tuition and assistance with essay writing and proof reading, from Secondary to Post Graduate level.
I charge £27 an hour, or £17 for half an hour. I offer a 10% discount to students (school and college/university - proof of status required), and discounts are given for multiple bookings, which can be discussed on enquiry.
For more information, contact me via the webiste link, or email me.
Kind regards,

description : I am a singing teacher and voice coach based in central Edinburgh with extensive experience of all aspects of vocal and performance training and application spanning over many years.
I offer private vocal coaching in singing and public speaking. I teach most styles, including blues, jazz, musical theatre, pop, rock, folk and classical and my students range from absolute beginners to well known professional performers.
Aspects covered include breathing, posture, tone, tuning and healthy voice placement techniques for performance and studio work, plus attention to content and confidence building. In addition I have helped many singers and non-singers with music theory and general musicianship as well as working on songwriting composition and vocal harmony development with individual songwriters and bands.
Tailored for each individual, my approach is friendly, informal and supportive and I have a high success rate preparing people for all sorts of situations: exams, auditions, work presentations and amateur or professional stage performance, as well as helping many who think they are tone deaf to sing in tune and still more who are afraid to sing or speak in public to overcome their fears. Of course some people just want to sing for a bit of fun - we can do that too.
Customised group workshops are also available. These can be held at your place of work, your college, your home or another venue of your choice, and may include other specialist tutors if required. Details and prices for these are negotiated in discussion with the client.
As a working performer, I practise what I teach and keep my skills updated on an ongoing basis. In the past year this has taken the form of teaching skills refresher sessions plus classes, workshops and private lessons with first class teachers who are each world leaders in their respective fields of jazz technique and interpretation, Speech Level Singing, songwriting and Life Coaching.
I believe in everyones potential because I am constantly seeing it turned into results.
Please get in touch either via the contact form on my website or give me a call to find out more about prices and availability.
