We are a newly formed East Lothian/ Edinburgh 60's Mod cover band. Looking for a vocalist and frontman, who loves the Mod classics, and likes dressing sharp. I'm looking for a piano player who might be interested in working with me to create an act for the piano bar circuit. Gigs will be fully paid (that is, after all, one of the main reasons for doing it!) but it will involve probably 2 or 3 unpaid rehearsal sessions to get up to speed in order to have something that we can take to venues. Basically, as soon as I have money to pay someone then they'll get an equal split with me.

Hello,

My name is Sean Guidera, i'm 25. I'm a singer/songwriter from Paisley. I've been writing songs for a few years now, and i've spent the last 9/10 months gigging pretty consistently. I've recorded some of my songs in the studio, 1 or 2 are attached. Hopefully i'll have an EP/album to put out shortly.

My biggest musical inspirations are Noel and Liam Gallagher, Kurt Cobain, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Johnny Cash, Neil Young, John Lennon, Bruce Springsteen and Buddy Holly among a few others. That being said I like to think that my writing and voice are original, which is important.

Talented guitarist required for Scotland's premier Bon Jovi Tribute act to replace our outgoing 'Richie'.

Auditions will be held over the next few weeks, followed by a short 'hand-over' period, where you will take up the gig schedule. Gigs already booked into 2014.

Us: Actively gigging over the past six years, we have toured the country, recorded and played to clubs, theatres and outdoor shows, putting in the same energy for a crowd of 150 or 6,500. We strive to recreate the Jovi live experience and believe that the music is the single most important part of the show. leading to our mantra of: No Wigs, No Egos, No Backing tracks : Just 100% live Jovi Rock. As we all have day jobs, our gigs are primarily at weekends, with occasional long-weekend tours arranged to suit availability of all.

We can't stress enough that whilst we play to a professional standard, we are not financially motivated. We have day jobs are are not interested in hearing from the money chasers who aren't really interested in what they are playing. Getting paid is a bonus, but this is not a suitable band for the full time muso looking to pay bills. We prefer to play the club scene and are not interested in changing our track to do the more corporate angle, hotels etc. Please don't contact us if your agenda is to change the direction of the band.

You: A talented guitarist without an ego - Good backing vocals strongly preferred, though we can develop an exceptional guitarist who can at least hold a tune and is willing to give this a go.

Preferably a Jovi fan, and willing to listen to, and accurately learn live versions of tracks and solos- You'll need a fast learning curve. We pride ourselves on playing as close to a live version as possible, so where there is always some room for individuality, this is not the band for anyone who wants to play their own thing, or jam solos - no matter how talented.

Has / or is willing to purchase, a talkbox system if successful (Existing set-up available from outgoing guitarist).

Commitment to showmanship.
Easy to get along with, sociable and willing to muck in with shifting gear, setting up / packing down.

Experienced rhythm section, based in Falkirk

Drummer (33) and bass player (35) with lots of different influences and tastes, seek musicians to collaborate in a new project together through a mutual love of making music.

We have our own rehearsal space not shared with any other bands. We like to experiment with different methods of songwriting, bringing together our many influences (far too many to list here) into our own sound. We have some good, solid ideas and are now looking for like-minded musicians to help us take them to the next level.

Female singer looking for a rock group
Hi Rockers!, I am looking to sing in a rock band in the Edinburgh and Lothians area.

I like the idea of doing lots of different stuff, even an all girl punk rock band for options.

I love bands like , The Bangles, Heart, The primitives and also country stuff too, love the Dixie Chicks, U2, Foo Fighters, Chris Daughty and would just like to do an all round mixture of rock classics. I love lots of American style bands too and would like to do lots of different stuff.

I have more of a blues/country sounding voice but would like to have some fun as well as take it serious and work with fun people who love music and have the passion! :)

I have been in a wedding band before, but fell through and now looking to start something good and get some gigs booked. I would even be into doing this full time in the near future and get gigs booked.

We have the core of a band playing Balkan, Klezmer, and Eastern European folk. Uplifting, fun stuff, and we're looking for members to fill out the sound. We have a lot of interest from venues wanting to put on this music, but the format is still fairly flexible.

Talented guitarist required for Scotland's premier Bon Jovi Tribute act to replace our outgoing 'Richie'.

Auditions will be held over the next few weeks, followed by a short 'hand-over' period, where you will take up the gig schedule from the end of March. Gigs already booked into 2014.

Us: Actively gigging over the past six years, we have toured the country, recorded and played to clubs, theatres and outdoor shows, putting in the same energy for a crowd of 150 or 6,500. We strive to recreate the Jovi live experience and believe that the music is the single most important part of the show. leading to our mantra of: No Wigs, No Egos, No Backing tracks : Just 100% live Jovi Rock. As we all have day jobs, our gigs are primarily at weekends, with occasional long-weekend tours arranged to suit availability of all.

You: A talented guitarist without an ego - Good backing vocals strongly preferred, though we can develop an exceptional guitarist who can at least hold a tune and is willing to give this a go.

Experienced Bass player required for Backwater. Scotlands' Ultimate Status Quo Tribute.
Due to circumstances beyond the bands control, our bass player in Backwater, the foremost Status Quo tribute band in Scotland, will be leaving. How soon, we do not know just yet but he'll be playing the Grand Ole Opry in December with Backwater and hopefully the Welsh Quofest in March.

We are therefore seeking a powerful replacement on bass guitar, with immediate effect.

If our current man decides that March 2013 in Wales will be his last gig with Backwater, then that should give a new man at least 4 months to get up to speed with Backwater's repertoire. We tend to work with at least 1 gig per month.

Gigs already pencilled in or confirmed, are a headlining spot at the Scottish Quo convention, "McVention" and the Dreadnought in Bathgate as well as the gigs in the Twa Dugs Ayr, Prestwick Cricket Club, Ivory Blacks Glasgow and various others throughout Scotland in 2013 and beyond.

The new man will have his work cut out trying to fill our bass players boots so it would help if he has a grounding in Quo's Frantic Four era, singles and albums, but it's not essential as long as he is prepared to learn the basslines as they are played on record and be dedicated.

This is a VERY demanding position as we are the premier band in Scotland and intend maintaining that status. We rehearse every Thursday night, in Mauchline, South Ayrshire.

Rock vocalist wanted
5 Second Warning is one of central Scotland's newest, hardest Working alternative rock band formed in April 2012. Delivering cutting edge rock riffs, huge drum beats, powerful bass lines along with an energetic performance. The music subtly mixes sounds from other genres such as electronic music, hard rock and progressive rock.
The band are currently on the hunt to find the a frontman to complete the band line-up. We are looking for a singer songwriter with a good voice, with an ability to get a crowds attention and keep it. We're not looking for a screamer, but someone that can deliver both clean cut and rough edge vocals where needed. The singer needs to be dedicated and committed as much as the rest of us and serious about music.
We rehearse once a week at the moment in Cumbernauld which is on a Sunday usually 3-6 and sometimes 12-6 for songwriting and arrangement work. No real equipment needed but a good mic and maybe some vocal effects would be a nice bonus.

Hello, my name is Ross and I'm part of a rock/heavymetal band called ''FameOverFriendship'' in glasgow. I am the drummer and we also have a guitarist and a guitarist/vocalist. We have been playing for around 4months and we rehearse in a studio in Glasgow, which is very easily accessed by Central/Argyle stations. We practice in the studio every 2 weeks for three hours. It's not expensive at all and the sound is pretty good. We write our own music and we are serious about music but still have a laught too! haha. You have to be a sound cunt haha! We are all 15 but not little annoying,immature kids, and desprete for a bass player? Please reply?

Hi, we are an up and coming wedding function band, we have bookings in the diary, we are with good agents. Our present keys player is having leave in the next few months and we are looking for someone to step in and fill the slot, the band are a great bunch and fun to be around we are very committed and work very hard and take the band and music very serious, we practice regular in Glasgow and hold regular showcases . The music we cover ranges from the 50s to present day all good fun numbers ,we are a live band we dont use tricks or backing tracks just hard work .
