Artist: Little Doses
Album: Rock Riot Soul
Released: 5 March 2012
Format: 10 track CD + Download from iTunes, Napster and all download sites.
Label: Black Ditto Recordings Ltd
"Songs never out stay their welcome but they hang round long enough for you to want to hear them over again."
Little Doses were formed in Edinburgh by Snow Patrol's Mark McClelland after leaving the band.
They've been building a reputation for ferocious live shows around Scotland over the past few years and are proud to now release their debut album. Written by Ivor Novello recipient McClelland, and drawing heavily from the musical styles and influences of all members, it sounds very Little Doses.
Self recorded, produced and now self released, this is music direct from artist to fan. Celebrating true independent ethos, there is no distortion of the music through industry calculation of what is trending, what the kids are buying and no need to pay heed to the lowest common denominator. This is the record Little Doses wanted to make and how they wanted to sound. The new album, “Rock Riot Soul” is to be released on 5 March 2012 on Black Ditto Recordings.

In a band-and need a video?
We film your band. Doesn't matter where. Stage. Rehearsal room or at our studio. We edit, mix, and title it. Then post it on YouTube which has a maximum film length of fifteen minutes. This video is created from approx one hour's footage and could contain up to seven songs each two minutes long. We can also include additional still photos if required. Almost eighty percent of singers, bands and groups, do not have video content in their websites. If someone sees your video and likes it, who knows what might happen. And remember, YouTube now officially has, the largest video audience in the world! All this for £75.00. Terrific value and we have studios premises in Queen Street, right here in the centre of Glasgow.Tel 01505-690652 or 07879-247155 and ask for Les.

Singers and bands wanted for Live and Unsigned 2012 auditions!
Singers and bands are wanted as Live and Unsigned 2012 auditions start early January! With the chance to play at The O2 in London and with £100,000 in prizes, Live and Unsigned auditions are set to attract thousands of unsigned singers and bands when auditions begin in January 2012. The competition has also just announced an additional new main cash prize of £10,000 for the winning act to spend on their development.
Singers and bands to be filmed
A new addition to the competition in 2012 is that it will also be filmed for a new music series to be broadcast on Sky TV; a fly-on-the-wall music series on Live and Unsigned has given acts another reason to enter the competition! The documentary music series airing next year on Sky TV, will give an insight into what goes on behind the scenes of the Live and Unsigned competition.
Festival slots
To add to that, there is the prospect of festival slots across the UK and the world and it's clear to see that Live and Unsigned is THE competition for aspiring bands and acts to enter in the New Year. There are festival slots in Canada, Italy, Latvia and Dublin up for grabs for the best unsigned acts in the country that make it to the Grand Final at The O2, which is incorporated into Live Fest, London's biggest indoor festival.
Live and Unsigned Auditions 2012
Live and Unsigned is the UK 's biggest unsigned music competition for original artists and auditions are open to all genres. So whether you're into pop, RnB, punk, Indie, Alternative, rock or acoustic, the competition has it all. Each year the competition prize pool gets bigger and better as acts take to the stage and battle it out for equipment, festival slots, studio time and master classes. Other prizes up for grabs include a UK tour , a selection of Blackstar and TC Electronic amps, extensive coverage on MUZU TV and YouTube and a comprehensive consultation package with Future Music including social marketing, image, brand, access to industry contacts plus more !
All acts in the competition are auditioned live which is what makes Live and Unsigned so unique, there are no demo submissions. Acts that make it through the audition stage will get to perform to industry judges, A&R associates and celebrity guests in some of the UK 's most prestigious venues. Those who make it to the Grand Final will get to share the stage with some of the UK's best musicians at Live Fest at The O2 in London!Acts on the bill last year included Tinchy Styder, Zane Lowe, Roll Deep and The Hoosiers.
Industry Judges
Judges set to join the panel in 2012 include Radio 1 DJ'sAnnie Nightingale, Tom Deacon and Daniel P Carter, Kerrang's Alex Baker and Happy Mondays star Bez.
Live and Unsigned Auditions
Auditions begin again in January 2012 with a number of new audition venues on the circuit including the world famous Dingwalls in Camden . Actsare urged to enter now as places are in high demand and auditions are limited for what will be a great platform for any act or band to showcase their music. For information on how to secure your live audition for 2012 go to www.LiveandUnsigned.uk.com and register today!
Hi guys.............
I'm based in Edinburgh and part of the music scene for the last 10 years having played some high profile gigs in that time in various formats including T-Break as a solo artist and again with rock band, Underbelly who were also selected for Forth One to Watch in 2006. Supports for Ash, Nizlopi, Jill Jackson and showcases with Polar Patrol Publishing sharing stage time with Foy Vance, The Boy Who Trapped the Sun, Gary Go and several performances with Snow Patrol guitarist, Nathan Connolly have all begun to help my solo profile with some excellent radio support over the years from numerous local stations as well as XFM and Radio 1 Ireland & Scotland.
My debut album, The White Eagle Lounge, will be released in February 2012 and features a collaborative cast of 35 local musicians including Paul Gilbody, Douglas Kay and Mike Baillie but also five very special guests – Nathan Connolly and Tom Simpson from Snow Patrol, singer/songwriter, Alex Cornish and Ash drummer, Rick McMurray. The album has been a year in the making and the support from the local scene has been overwhelming. It has been a huge undertaking but we are now into the final stages with mixing starting near Christmas, then into live rehearsals to take the launch around Scotland then to Belfast (my original home town) then London in February next year. The album will be available as a download as well as a limited run of CDs available at gigs.
All very exciting. I'm hoping to really tap into the support of Edinburgh's music media, and beyond.

Glasgow Band, Renegade, announce a new arrival.
"After 11 years of performing high octane acoustic rock, blues and country classics in and around the city, Glasgow's prominent guitar and vocal trio, Renegade, are delighted to announce a new addition to the band. Gavin Smith, former drummer of The Vagabonds, has joined the band to add drums, percussion and a 4th vocal to the sounds. The first gigs in late October (Hootenanny and The Clutha) have been incredibly well received and have caused quite a buzz in the music circles of the city. Gavin's drums have brought a new level of energy to the sound and this is making a huge impact to the overall Renegade effect. The band are all very excited about this new dimension and are look forward to taking Renegade's sound into a new era and some new audiences. The band plan to do some recording at Howtomakesushi Studios in early December and are currently booking for 2012."
